Town Hall: The Downward Saw Effect of Amyloid Targeting Drugs

In a second Town Hall held in September, Dr. Dale Bredesen and Dr. Anne Hathaway discussed our research that shows that removing the causes of the amyloid provides benefit, while amyloid targeting drugs have only ever slowed the decline. It is theoretically possible that amyloid-reducing drugs may have a benefit after removing the causes of amyloid production, but Dr. Bredesen and Dr. Hathaway discussed the necessity for those that receive these drug therapies to follow up on their cognitive performance since they have seen many people whose cognition trended downward after treatment.
