Mobile, Alabama, FOX 10 News reporter Shelby Myers and anchor Cameron Lumbard featured Judy Benjamin, an 81-year-old advocate following the Bredesen Protocol on her cross-country mission to raise awareness about lifestyle-based brain health. Benjamin began walking from San Diego in April and has now logged more than 2,170 miles, en route to St. Augustine, Florida.

After receiving an early-onset Alzheimer’s diagnosis at 67, Benjamin adopted Dr. Dale Bredesen’s ReCODE Program, a comprehensive protocol developed at Apollo Health that addresses the root causes of cognitive decline through nutrition, exercise, restorative sleep, and metabolic optimization. She credits these changes with halting — and even reversing — her symptoms.

Benjamin averages 15–20 miles daily, accompanied by a support driver who documents her progress. Her message to viewers remains simple and hopeful: early testing and lifestyle intervention can make a measurable difference in cognitive outcomes. As she continues through the Gulf Coast, her walk exemplifies how precision medicine and determination can help make Alzheimer’s prevention a reality.
