Apollo Health has partnered with several assisted living communities to implement the Bredesen Protocol in their facilities with ReCODE+. This collaboration helps our partners to differentiate their services while improving the health and well-being of their residents.
Spotlight on The Vineyards
Our partnership with The Vineyards California Armenian Home has inspired The Vineyards Center for Cognitive Excellence™, a specialized resident program that supports brain health and memory through advanced therapeutic protocols based on Dr. Bredesen’s ReCODE Protocol™. This collaboration contributed to The Vineyards being ranked by U.S. News & World Report as a Best Memory Care Facility in 2025.
Why Implement the Bredesen Protocol?
The Bredesen Protocol is the world’s most effective approach to treating and preventing cognitive decline, with multiple studies demonstrating its efficacy for cognition and mental health. Anecdotally, we have also found that the protocol improves overall health, helps participants lose weight, reduces the need for some medications, and increases wellness.
The protocol’s focus on diet and lifestyle makes it perfect for implementation in an independent or assisted residential community.
Apollo Health’s partnerships with these facilities are based on our new ReCODE+ Protocol for cohorts and assisted living environments. This includes labs, cognitive testing, personalized ReCODE reports, and 13 live group education sessions designed to teach participants how to implement the ReCODE protocol. In addition, it includes 12 integration sessions facilitated by a ReCODE Health Coach, focused on application of the protocol, cooking training, addressing challenges, teaching behavior change strategies, and reinforcing the learning from the education sessions.
Apollo Health is prepared to support new partners with staff training and certification, resident education and testing, meal services, and everything else necessary to create and market a successful program.
