Early Alzheimer’s, Two Paths: Why Strategy and Timing Matter

ReCODE 2.0 Certified Coach, Dr. Manna Semby, spoke with Judy Benjamin, who shared her successful brain health journey with Dr. Semby. Benjamin was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s at 67, and immediately pursued a comprehensive, precision-medicine strategy that addressed diet, sleep, exercise, hormones, inflammation, stress, and cognitive training. Fourteen years later, she is cognitively engaged and physically strong, having walked thousands of miles across the United States at age 81.
Dr. Semby also interviewed a second woman, diagnosed at 61, with delayed action, attributing early symptoms to menopause and relying primarily on conventional pharmaceutical approaches. Within four years, she required daily assistance with basic tasks.
According to Dr. Semby, this contrast highlights a critical reality: early-stage Alzheimer’s presents a narrow but meaningful window for intervention.
