Tavistock Times Gazette Features Judy Benjamin’s 550-Mile Alzheimer’s Awareness Walk

The Tavistock Times Gazette has featured Dr. Judy Benjamin and her journey across southern England, describing her walk as a “trek of hope” for people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
Benjamin, 82, was diagnosed nearly 15 years ago. After becoming one of Dr. Dale Bredesen’s earliest patients, she adopted the personalized ReCODE Protocol, addressing factors including nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress, and the underlying contributors to cognitive decline.
The article highlights Benjamin’s approximately 550-mile journey from Land’s End to London as well as her previous 2,812-mile walk across the United States. Along the route, she is raising awareness of Alzheimer’s prevention, early intervention, and a precision medicine approach to cognitive decline.
Her journey continues to challenge long-held assumptions about what life after an Alzheimer’s diagnosis can look like while bringing a message of hope to patients and families.

Note: While the article references a goal of 650 miles to London, the actual mileage for the walk overall will be approximately 550 miles.
