It’s time to freshen things up this month. It’s fun to find fresh, new ways of implementing KetoFLEX 12/3 to keep us excited about our brain-healthy diet. Instead of eggs for breakfast, try a fresh smoothie. Smoothies are also great with any meal or snack and are an easy way to include prebiotics, resistant starch, probiotics, and greens into your meal — not to mention they are delicious!

The recipe for Blissful Berry Smoothie is below, and the recipes for Zen Green Smoothie and Tangy Tropical Mango Smoothie are available to members of the PreCODE and ReCODE monthly subscription programs.

Blissful Berry Smoothie


This smoothie has just the perfect amount of sweetness. The green bananas add a unique flavor and are a great source of resistant starch.  If you need to fit some healthy fats or greens in, feel free to add in some avocado, ground flax seeds, frozen spinach, or kale. I love smoothies because they are flexible and an easy and yummy way to sneak in nutrients. Have fun with this one, and don’t be afraid to make it your own.

Life hack: bananas go yellow FAST. Buy your bananas green and chop them into slices and freeze so that you have them on hand and ready to use.

Yields one smoothie


• ½ cup frozen mixed berries
• ½ green banana, chopped
• 6 oz A2 Kefir, plain unsweetened
• Non dairy milk, unsweetened, plain


1. Place the first three ingredients in your blender and blend.
2. Add non-dairy unsweetened milk to achieved the desired thickness.
3. Add stevia to taste.
4. Blend and voilá.

Zen Green Smoothie


This green smoothie is not to be confused with “juiced” greens. When vegetables are juiced, the fiber is stripped, so we prefer to blend them. The lemon and ginger add a zing to this making it a great pick me up drink.

Tangy Tropical Mango Smoothie


If you could taste a vacation, this is how it would taste. The green mangoes have citrusy notes and add some tartness, while the green bananas add a unique grassy flavor. Like all smoothies, feel free to make it your own by adding avocado or other seeds to incorporate healthy fats.
